Orly: Crush On You

Hello polish addicts!

Hope everyone is doing well. Today I have for you, Orly Crush On You. I bought this polish about a month back, when Shbecky and I went on a road trip to buy patio furniture and pit stopped at a beauty supply store. We did some SERIOUS damage - and this polish is one of my favorite buys of that trip!

1 coat OPI Natural Nail Base Coat + 1 coat any opaque white + 2 coats Orly Crush On You + 1 coat Seche Vite, artificial light

Crush On You is a unique shade of orangey yellow. It is not a neon but is very bright and has a warm gold tone to it. Don't get me wrong - there is no shimmer or frost to this polish whatsoever. But it has a very beautiful yellow hue. I've worn this polish in the past and, when I thew it over just a base coat, I could not get it opaque for the life of me. I think I wore 5 coats and still had VNL. So this time, I threw on a coat of opaque white on first. This worked perfectly - love this trick.

same as above

This Orly applied like a dream. The brush is amazing - thick and soft. It is glossy and so pleasant to apply and look at. The polish takes a few seconds to self level but don't worry - it will all smooth out and make for a great finish. I think it is pretty clear to tell that I LOVE this baby and I recommend it to any orange fiends out there. The color is unique and application is a breeze.

Off to work on a paper for my research assistantship on a Friday night =/ good thing I love this stuff!!!

  1. I don't really like orange, but I might like this one. I'll have to check it out. Thanks!

  2. The yellow-ness of this orange makes for a really soft, yet still striking look. It's not as obnoxious as most oranges - though I must admit, I have a thing for obnoxious polishes =) Hope you try and LOVE it! Thanks for reading!!
