Deborah Lippmann: Waking Up In Vegas

Hey everyone! I was just debating with SonyT whether today should be a grey post or a holo post.  I don't know how I was thinking holo, because it is insanely grey outside here in DC today.  Can't we just have a gorgeous breezy Monday with lovely clear skies?  Guess not.  Courtesy of this miserable Monday I give you Deborah Lippmann's Waking Up In Vegas.  It's a light grey creme with yellow undertones that are visible in the liquid that separates from the polish in the bottle.  Like all Lippmann polishes, this is 3 Free and comes in the signature cube bottle with the smooth curved top.  The bottle fits so nicely in your hand that painting becomes way less awkward for those like myself who insist on holding the bottle while painting.

2 coats Waking Up In Vegas + Seche Vite, artificial light
Waking Up In Vegas is opaque in 2 coats, and has such easy application that I will likely always grab this polish to satisfy my light grey polish cravings.  The yellow undertone makes this grey different than any others in my collection, and I am glad that I bought this even though I kept thinking it may be too boring.  I highly recommend that everyone pick this up!

See the yellow undertones?

  1. The color is ok... but I don't think the name fits AT ALL. I think glitter, neon, bright, fun etc when I think Vegas... Not dusty and grey!
